July 13, 2022 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
This training is intended for substance use prevention professionals in Texas.
About the Training:
Just as the flight attendant instructs us in the event of an emergency to place our own oxygen mask on first and then assist others, the place to begin is with ourselves. The more connected we are within ourselves the better able we are to connect to those who need our assistance.
Using the Six Dimensions of Wellness developed by the National Wellness Institute, this session will examine these dimensions: Occupational, Physical, Social, Intellectual, Spiritual, and Emotional; the interconnectedness of each dimension; and awareness of how they contribute to or diminish our wellbeing and the wellbeing of the children and youth they serve. This is an interactive, educational and personal reflection session.
