This training is intended for substance use prevention professionals in Texas.
About the Training:
This interactive workshop will focus on the National Organization for Victims Assistance (NOVA) process as it relates to students affected by school and community tragedies. A hand-on role play, as well as discussions on how to handle teen suicide, drug related deaths, vehicular deaths, murders, medical related deaths, and staff member deaths will be included.
Continuing Education Hours: 3.0*
Satisfactory completion of continuing education hours (CEHs) requires attending at least 85% of the training duration, participating in activities (e.g., polls, breakout rooms), and completing the training evaluation.
Requirements:
This training is virtual, occurring live over Zoom. All participants are expected to fully engage in the training, which calls for reliable internet connection and use of a webcam. Participants do not need a Zoom account to attend the training – you may attend through any internet browser option if you do not want to download the app.

This training is limited to 50 participants. You must submit a registration to attend.
